This customer installed the Xtreme HID kit with Philips 4300k bulbs to get that OEM hid look.

Philips HID bulbs (http://www.kbcarstuff.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=philips+HID+bulb) will color shift after about 100 hours of use and will settle at around 4700k which gives them a really crisp, white look. As per the customer's review - "I found that 6500K left me wanting more distance. Looking around at other cars, it just seemed to me like I could get better light."

While 6500k does give you more color there is no functional benefit in going with a higher color temperature HID kit. Lumens is what determines brightness and a 6500k bulb will be rated at 20-25% less lumens than a 4300k bulb.

The Osram Night Breaker bulbs are much whiter and are perfect if you are looking to match your Fog Lights or High Beams to your HID lights.
