Long story short, I was rear ended by somebody running a red light doing about 45-50 as I was making a left turn. He never even touched his brakes. I spun a full 360 clockwise and landed on the side walk, about 6 feed from a fire hydrant. Luckily, I made it out alive. Sore neck, but the ER did some x-rays and everything is fine. Looks like it's time for a newer Tacoma!

wow that is a pretty nasty accident! glad you walked away!
my dad was rear ended about 4 months ago, he is still suffering from back and neck pain, so be prepared for more pain to come your way.

Wow. By the looks of the other car and how you described it, it looks like the other car kind of went under you and lifted (and turned) as it continued on? That is a significant collision, glad to see you walked away from it.

Can you pull the winch and other aftermarket things off if you take the settlement?

I think that's gonna leave a mark. Take it a easy the next few days, the pain will come... been there done that and it ain't fun a few days from now.
If you're able to get your accessories off the truck that'll be golden!

^Ditto's on all that. Go get at the very least some ibuprofen now while you can, even if just feeling stiff you'll want to be at least pre-medicated for when the swelling and pain does hit.
If anything feels off in the slightest get a MRI done. For me I am glad I was well informed b/c I ended up w/ one bulged disc in my cervical and one in my lumbar. Both ache, neither is any fun.
On a side note, I am finally handling the arbitration from Clark's untimely demise this next week.
