Howdy all,

Well I've gotten myself a new job out in Fort Worth TX, I'm moving out there over the next two weeks (my first day out there is actually in a week). I'm excited, but I'm going to have to start from scratch for off road clubs, off road areas, etc. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Anyone in the Dallas/Ft Worth area?

I've been to Texas quite a bit but there wasn't much for wheeling. I was in Southern TX so it's different. From user info I see a lot of guys are from there and there are events but I don't know of anything personally. That might be the area that people drive a distance to get to stuff.

Congratulations on the new digs and best of luck. Try to refrain from getting a giant truck and participating in mud drags.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Congrats.

Just playing.

But really, must resist. I know these have FL plates but I know similar stuff goes down in TX.

Ok well this might be fun.

I travel to DFW quite often but never had a chance to explore the terrain. Based on aerial perspective I'd err on it being "flat" and "flat".

It gets pretty HOT out there. I know it's how where you are but I hope you're ready for 100+ for 30+ days during the summer.

Congrats and good luck!

Well, I'd approve the big foot purchase.

But me thinks the truck towing those things is a little out of its league.

Even then that toe-rig is not a small one. I can't imagine that load is legal. Around here you'd get stopped quick and I'm sure the ticket wouldn't be a cheap one. Heck if you're going to get caught just drive the mud trucks on the freeway.
