:D You can always stand to go ahead and own one more! :tongueout:

From the other night.

:( Weak. OK friends and family, we'll be offline for a bit. Wife's desktop has a virus and to add insult to injury my 5 year old MacBook that's been all over the world with me just had both the battery, logic board, and the hard drive crash. Found this all out while loading it up tonight to fix things. Let's go old school, call me. If you don't have my number email me and I'll reply from work. Also no, I won't be all facebooking from work.

So I go into my favorite Apple Store tonight, Stanford. I've got a new one on the way! I back down a little bit for better functionality and travel purposes. I got the 13" Pro instead of the bulkier 15" this time. Since Al's hard drive is salvagable I'm getting a data migration and getting a sweet deal on the cost to repair "Al" (Referencing Hal from 2001, Al's his younger cooler brother). I'll then be giving it to my lovely Wife. I even went as far as to buy her some One-On-One instruction time and am gonna split a $100 AppStore Card with her. This way she gets a great wireless, internet, photo processing, etc capable system that'll last another 5 or more years and I get my system while not having to get frustrated trying to teach her how to use it. Enjoy it honey! (Pics once done, I can't load the shot from the iPhone right now.)

**I'm taking suggestions on the name for the new system. The suggestions so far are "Bud", as in Bundy, "Al's son!" as well as "Number2" referencing "Number5" from the movie Short Circuit as well as "2" "Two" or "Too" referencing MacBook #2, WOPR (aka:Joshua) from the movie WarGames, Master Control or TRON from the movie TRON, and finally F.O.K.R. as in "Found One Killer Rebate".

For obvious reasons relating to my personality, "F.O.K.R.", "Bud", "Too" are leading the pack. LOL :) Give me more!!

**I can't find the "POLL" option, I thought we had one? Post up your vote or submitted name.

**NO I cannot discuss what overall I ending up spending. One of those "Seriously?? NO WAY!" moments. Apple takes care of people, and I love them for that.

I'd say there is room for way more bikes than computers. With smart phones and a tablet we don't use our desktop much. Or the laptop for that matter. The router is on it's way out, and going to be put into the range bag I love it so much, so I have a little research to do.

Well, in relative terms this was cheaper than the usual bike stuff around here. :D I still have 4 bikes between the two of us and that's not including the trialer and kids tricycle.

I don't want to start collecting bikes again, they're harder to part with once I am done fixing them up.

I vote MCP to tie in the Tron Master Control reference while maintaining the 3 letter initials similar to the initials used for a Macbook Pro (MBP).

Not being a Apple or Non-Apple PC fanboy.. I do like to give die hard Apple fans crap, but that MBP with retina display is a nice looking machine (as are the other MBPs). I am disappointed with the HP Envy line since the killed off the first gen with 1600x900 display, unless they take care of that display problem with the next iteration I may have to jump ship and join you on the dark side!

And yes they are good about taking care of customers.. my brother just bought his family all iPhone 4s'.. and didn't get insurance through VZW on 'em. He'd bought something similar to Otterbox cases, but water proof, for them. His daughter lost hers at the top of a 115" loop on a roller coaster. Warped the phone, messed up the display, and made it impossible to make calls. Verizon wouldn't do anything for him since it was dropped from the coaster. He drove almost an hour to the Apple store in Atlanta and they replaced it for free.

MBP's on the list too, sorry I didn't post that up along with the main name. These were just added to the votes, BWDT (Bailing Wire Duct Tape) since "it is being used to fix an existing problem", RGC (Red-Green Computer, Red-Green Show) same lines of BWDT, 2C, TooSee, Toosey, Watoosey, (Second Computer), and FNC (F'in New Computer). :flipoff:

I like your story about customer service, it's pretty much true, they offered me an early upgrade or replacement 4g or better come this November since I am having errors on my 3gs and it's not even 1yr/old. Their excuse was "..can't have Shane running around having to whip out a crappy product in front of people who shop us also, he's free advertising for us!". :D

Took delivery of the new machine 2 days early and they fixed the old one for free. Yes, free, pretty cool IMHO! I've decided on the new machine's name.

Going with "HBWWDT". If I was to spread it out, it's Hammer, Bailing Wire, WD-40, and Duct Tape, what any man needs to survive in the wild (supposedly). I played with saying the name out H. Bawditt. Hmmm, Henry Bought-it? How about Henry Tift Bought-it? Even better, " Sir Henry TIFE BaWWDuT ". The Sir is to tie into the T.I.F.E. (This Is For Everyone) from Sir Tim Berners-Lee. As for Henry, well, I thought Henry just worked for the hammer portion of the name. Since I know all that's way too much to try to explain and say in full every time, I am giving it the nickname of "Bud".

:spit: I need to get a life and get back to playing with the kid, this is all too silly, so onto the pic.
Yes, that's a vintage phone, and yes, I still need to finish moving our stuff into the place and clean up the work space.
First part is to scrap the old Dell and antique speaker system.
