Welds look like a stack of dimes? How about a stack of silver dollars?

At first glance, this picture doesn't seem that impressive...until you realize those "little" black bolts are actually 1/2" bolts!

I think that big bolt is 1.5" in diameter. Now look at the welds and try to figure out how big they are. This thing is even more impressive in person...and even more so knowing the material is magnesium.

Here's a close up of the welds. I'd really like to see how they made this and what the welder looks like.

prob a mig welder with aluminum wire, we had one a school and the wire was the size of a pencil, and the was the original purpose of the mig on planes in ww2
