We have an awful lot to be thankful for this year!

I am very thankful for UY and all the wonderful friends I have here! You all truly make this forum a great place to be! I consider all of you a part of my family, and most of you I like better than my "real" family! A special thanks to the admin team for keeping the site up and running, and thanks to all those who post useful information and organize trips!

Alexus and I are very thankful to my parents who have been so amazingly generous to us over the years; with out them, we would be living in our 4Runner!

A very big debt of gratitude is due to all the members of the armed forces who keep us safe, and risk their lives for their country every day. There are not words to express the gratitude due to them!

Finally, I am very thankful to have had a wonderful person in my life. My Uncle Gary, who was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer early this year is laying on his death bed today. He has been an amazing influence on me and every one he has met. He will leave this world surrounded by the love of his friends, family, and most importantly his 4 children and loving wife. He is not afraid to die except for leaving his young children behind. He is probably the best person I know, and we will miss him always. 26 years ago, on Thanksgiving, he was the first to the hospital when I was born, and asked my parents "So I guess you aren't having Thanksgiving at your house this year?" I love you Gary, and THANK YOU!

So that was depressing....

I'm also thankful for living where I live, in the time I live, and the people I live with. And Bob's Churros. And Mikey's Carne Asada.

I think I'm just hungry at this point!

Well said Sean.

I too have so very much to be thankful for and I am reminded everyday. Sometimes thats at 3am but I wouldn't trade it for anything (yet). There are some good people here and I love seeing all the posts and yes, thanks to the admins for keeping things going.

Everyone be safe and eat up.

What a F'in batch of turkeys. ;)

Seriously though to all here, thanks so much and of course thanks to Sean for the post. Prayers for you guys and your family and uncle bro. I've been there w/ the family member getting cancer and going onto someplace better recently ourselves.

~I'm thankful for so much more, simply being able to turn a bad family attitude into home ownership and have a decent vehicle now all in the midst of injury and the beginning of parenthood was a big step. You guys here were a part of being able to get through all that by putting up with all the stupid crap that ended up getting typed out in here.

May all your blessings come back to you when you need them most.

The Overton's.

I'm thankful I wasn't an Indian between around 1492 and the 1830's. I'm thankful for my family, friends, and finally having something that's more than 'just a job'. Thankful my 4Runner still gets me to my family, friends, and job with almost 225k on the odo.
