A great run went down yesterday at aftershock. It wasn't a open invite since the requirements would be very high. As it stood we spent nearly halve the run getting the rig without the front locker threw.

This is a run we have been talking about doing for almost three years now. Aftershock was my first hammers run back in early 2010 and it beat the crap out of my skills and truck. Since that day we have been talking about going back and completing the upper section of the trail past the dreaded "depreciation knob". The knob is a short climb up though two large boulders. IFS trucks dont pass through this section anymore since the KOH races have torn it up. I fully expected to have to winch us all through somehow without getting an anchor truck above the knob. Turns out we all got through without winches! (well other then Justin but hes not front locked so no shame there)

The starting line up. The excitement and anticipation peaks during last minute checks.

You gotta be double locked on this trail if you want to enjoy it.

Looks like a very demanding trip! Nice pics.

Makes me want to paint my Runner olive drab!

looks like an awesome trip... It'll probably be a year or two before my truck is ready for this level of trail... But one day, I'll run that stuff too.

Avi you would have had a blast out there. Deffinatly let me know if you and Tess make it out sometime.

Kevin, You'll need full locks on both ends to do this reliably. The hammers are in the middle of nowhere and you have to drive back out.

Looks like a lot of fun. Avi, California isn't as bad as most people think.

Troy - I need a lot more than lockers from my current state to do this level of trail.. haha. But yes, those are on the list.

Thats funny because i thought you had better pictarz. I was working on a video, but then got sidetracked and frustrated and now I'm just going to put it off until I am out of school. I looked under the truck and i ripped up what was left of the e-brake system so that is going to be completely removed soon. Handle and all. And i crushed and bent the hard brake lines on the rear axle so its time to bend up some new ones. Those things are in a dumb place. They go under the track bar bracket. They are really messed up =)

wow that is a really dumb place for brake lines.. I'm pretty sure on my 2nd gen they were across the top of the axle the whole way. Well, good opportunity for improvement!
