So here are the mods I have done to my Shrockworks bumper recently.

I pulled it off, repacked the winch grease (another thread) and replaced the ~90 foot steel line with 50 feet of Amsteel Blue in 3/8". I chose this length since most of my pulls seem to be in the 20-40 foot range. I utilized a Trail Gear fairlead I won at Pismo a few years ago.

Today I added some tabs to relocate my Light Force lights to a better, more protected position.

I'm still not sold on the position, but I will give it a try. Hopefully it will grow on me. Neither are still mounted as the bumper needs to be repainted and the lights need to be rewired.

I like it I feel as though there should be some lights in the center too, and when did you do the headlights like that?

Yeah, I will be putting something between them someday soon.

The headlights are TYC 99+ housings with TRS projectors and 5000k bulbs. I did them last spring, never posted about it but followed the guide here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/101725-bandit-runners-projector-headlights.html

I think a 50 foot length is good. It's useful and with your length of pulls it gets you to a single wrap and your higher pulling pounds. I carry a 90 foot length of cable and a pulley for self extraction with a hi-lift (always fun) or to use as an extension or when multiple straps joined doesn't make sense, isn't possible or if the direction of pull needs to be changed.

exactly! I was finding I was pulling with 2 or 3 wraps on the drum, giving me 4k lb pulling power. I will collect some more straps and maybe a synthetic extension next year. I also might cut out the kink from my old line and make a 70 foot extension out of it.
