Hi all,
I have a loud "clunk" sound coming from the right front side of my vehicle. It only happens when I make a left turn. I checked there this morning and tightened down anything that looked suspicious.
I'm guessing when the vehicle is compressed on the left side when making a left turn, there's some load being released and that loud clunk/pop is a result.
Any guesses?

check the sway bar end links.
Really check everything ahead and inboard of the right front tire. sounds like it might be clunking on something there.
since you have recently had an alignment, check the torque on the cam bolts for the lower A arm. and the uppers for good measure.

good thought on the SW end links and the lower a-arms.

I have something similar that I experience mostly offroad. Slow speed during articulation. Like you said it sounds like something is unloading but not harsh.
I suppose it could be the links, probably binding.
Bob, how is the ride of your 4Runner? Is it possible it could be a shock? Like something broken inside or binding? This could lead to noticeable change at the wheel.

3 nuts on top of the coil over may be loose as well (has happened to me before)

It's probably the loose nut behind the wheel. :flipoff:
Everytime I think I have a suspension clunk it ends up being a loose skid plate. Did you happen to mess with the coils or shocks? I installed new shocks a few days before my wheeling trip to Red Rock Canyon and had a clunk for the first bit of the trail. It was the coils re-seating themselves, now that sound is gone.
