Sometimes my truck releases an excessive amount of gas from drain tube on the charcoal canister. I think the gas tank is getting too much pressure when it's warm, and forcing the gas out that line. I replaced the gas cap, and and I'm still having that problem. Where else do you think the extra pressure could be coming from. Or am I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Since no one has responded I'll take a shot at it. It would be wise for you to verify this though.

Usually when there is an excessive gasoline smell it means you need to replace the canister. In this case, I think you really need to replace it.

Here's my theory:
1) Your gas cap should allow the tank to vent OUT, but prevent draing in... Maybe replace the cap?

You talking about liquid gas coming out of the canister?
