I was just throwing script I found online at forum to see if it would stick. Google Picasa decided to move one step above virus removal and added functions and 'features' I have zero use for. In the process they removed embedding code, most likely because they no longer log a photo as .jpg, which was one of the two things I use Picasa for.

In the mean time I dusted off Flickr but really want to keep everything in one happy place.

Same boat here; google/picasa f'd us. I'm not pissed at the hours of time it will take me to move to another platform, nope, I'm okay. Now where are my meds?

I will not be moving my collection. For the most part I'll use my free TB at Flickr for hosting, Picasa and external hard drive for storage.

That's what I do now. Flickr is just for hosting, I store everything locally.

Flickr here as well when I want to upload an image to share/post in a forum. However, I only keep local copies of my images for the most part. My phone auto backs up to my Mega account, which is 50gb free and pretty secure in that if you lose your password and don't have a special key you're not getting back into your account.
