This ugly looking minivan / suv concept will be at the Tokyo Motor Show at the end of the month (Oct 27-Nov 2).
As ugly as it is it does have some really nice features. Not sure who designed this behemoth but I gotta say it's got "some" potential.
Chris you can upgrade your immobile minivan with this thing!:) ;)

As is with its ugly front end? I mean it's so ugly I don't even know where they came up with this design concept. It's so off from their normal Toyota Lexus designs.
I'd drive it too. Ugly suits me nicely. Haha

Ugly is what Toyota does these days. The new Prius is so ugly I can't even follow one as I begin to feel acid at the back of my throat. In fact even THIS (http://uploads.neatorama.com/images/posts/503/64/64503/1377299507-0.jpg) would improve the aesthetics.
I'm just not sure where Toyota is headed these days; they aren't the same company that brought us so many desirable vehicles circa-the year 2000. Think 100-series, 3rd Gen 4R, Celica, Supra, MR2, etc. Toyota can redeem itself (with me) if they would come out with a D4D diesel high roof van.

I agree Toyota's recent designs have been less than desired compared to the 2000 era models they had in production. However at a minimum their ugly designs were all uniform to some extent where you knew where they were all headed however looking at this TJ Cruiser concept it just drove down a whole different road of ugliness. My fear is if this is the direction Toyota is taking their truck line, they're definitely in for a world of hurt!
A D4D diesel high roof van would be awesome! :)

It looks like they're trying to make a poor copy of the Ridgeline's ugly front while making it a larger version of the Element.

As far as a minivan goes, it's alright. I mean, look, instant sleeping platform and integrated tie-downs.
Offer it with the 270hp 3.5l 2GR-FE V6 in AWD, and I think it'd do good.
With how large standard size tires are on most newer vehicles, you could probably fit some All Terrains on it for some mild back country exploring

The design reminds me of this:
