Usually, because synthetic is more giving in the way it packs on the drum, you can up size when you go from wire to synthetic.

I went from stock 100' of 5/16's on my XP to 100' of 3/8's Amsteel. It fit, but on side pulls, it would bunch and overload.

I cut off 15 feet and it is much more forgiving on akward pulls.

I went with 90' of 3/8 winchline to replace my 100' of 5/16 of steel cable. my reasoning was the same as above, in case of side loading, ill have the room to spare. Another option would be to get the 100', then cut 20' off and put loops on the ends of the extra 20' section for an extension if you ever need it.

FWIW...according to the Masterpull website ( http://www.masterpull.com/results.cfm?catid=959 ) your 9.5ti should be able to hold 125' of 5/16". I don't know if they take into account any issues with the side-pull bunching some were talking about.

I have the HS9500 using 5/16 x 125', but I'm planning on changing out to 3/8 x 100', simply because it spools up better. I'll then convert my old line into an extention....

I just placed an order with them for the viking fire line, they allowed me to use the 2 $50 gift certificates, so I got the tube thimble, hook and 10' of safety sleeve on 3/8"x100'.......

I have 100' of 3/8 Viking Combo Line on my winch (which is roughly the same size as your), and I have a little room to spare. You should be just fine.

BTW - Viking synthetic line kicks ass!
