Getting ready to do the e-locker mod and I called my dealer to look up the parts I need and they want the vin number that the diff came out of.

Anyone know the toyota part number to the two longer studs used in the e-locker housings?

cootees,

everything you need is here: http://www.sonoransteel.com/phong/retrofit_electric_locker.html

having done this several months ago with lance and steve, if you need advice, write it in this thread.

Has anyone put it in a front axle before?

Same procedure as on a rear axle...remember I have a solid axle up front.

Yeah, thats what I meant was in a sfa. I'll have to keep that in mind for when I am tackling my sas this fall.

Alright, I must be doing something wrong. So far I have ordered two different 3rd members labeled as with the diff. lock that I have found on www.car-part.com. Both of the ones I received were the standard 3rds without the locker. I've called three other places that I found(on car-part.com) that also is supposed to have them on there and had them physically go check them out and they also did not have the locker on them.

Am I looking up something wrong or is there an explanation for why so many salvage yards would have it inventoried wrong?

Also can I use the 3rd from a land cruiser to widen my sources or just the ones from a 4runner and tacoma?

No, I think they're just idiots and don't know what a locker is.
