Yep, that sounds like the likely culprit alright. It could also be the fan switch, but the blower resistor is more common IMHO. Unfortunately it is a dealer item but give the guys over at Northridge a call and see what they want for a new one.

Here's a pic of the blower resistor you'll need to replace (labelled M1, upper left in the pic):
