fat lip bumper - reinforcement

Hi,

For those who changed their front bumper to the fat lip version, did you include the reinforcement behind the bumper? Please refer to the attached pic.

Sorry to interrupt, but whats the reason to change out the bumper? I have a 200 w/ this bumper and I actually prefer the "old" bumper style? Is it just aesthetics?

The reinforcement is an added protection device. Also aesthetics

If your talking about part 52542A, i don't think mine has it. Its just bolted on each side...

fyi, I hate it too. Looks good with a pair of lights mounted on top but it sticks out too far. It's already contributed to cracking my grill in 3-4 places. I'm replacing it with a custom built or TJM bumper asap.
