I can get a really good deal on a new set of wheels through someone I work with, his uncle owns a wheel shop so he can get them for me at cost. Here are my two options as of now:

http://www.pdkwheels.com/pdk_wheel_images/PDK_Custom_Wheels/Cragar_Classic_Wheels/Cragar_Black_Daytona_342.jpg

I like the first ones but they may be too bling bling to actually wheel, I would probably scratch them up pretty bad wheelin

This is the truck its going on

Its just a black steelie. I get it new for like less than 30 a wheel.

Those are about as opposite of each other as you can get.

I am not a black steelie fan but they are cheap and good for wheeling. The first set would not even be an option for me. Too pretty. I am really biased but Grimpy has a set of LC80 rims and tires for sale on TTORA. As far as fit goes I don't think there is a better set up than the LC rims. I will post a link if I can find it.

Yeah they are really the only two truck tires that I can get through him though. I cant decide what to get, the first set is still incredibly cheap, probably cheaper than you could get steelies for. He said they are probably about 40-50 a wheel.

I like the first one way better. I had the steelies on my ranger and loved them but I wouldn't buy them again. They are super heavy compaired to aluminum rims and they suck on gas and acceleration.

id go for alloys. steelies are too heavy...n makes balancing big tires a beeyotch. plus, if you havent regeared...you'll really feel the difference.

IMO, find some nice used alloys pre-scuffed, that way you wont feel that bad when they get rashed. if youre really wanting a dark wheel, see if your source can score some AR mojave teflons or something of the sort. a buddy has em on an 80...and it looks minty. otherwise...id do what nobody else has done before..and put some 80 wheels on there haha...

If you can get the first set for $40-50 each, who the heck cares if you scratch them up (at that price you could run 2 different sets, one highway and one offroad). It wouldn't even be a contest IMHO, the first set without a doubt (plus I think the the steelies are way too heavy, often hard to balance and just plain ugly).

I think the first ones are steel too. I cant find out much about them. It is Ultra Wheel Baja Champ style 185B. I couldnt find out much about it. One the Ultra Wheel website it says construction: Counter Pressure Cast

If it is cast, it's not made of steel.
Steel wheels are usually punched, formed and welded.

Those are definately made of aluminum:

I wonder what the retail on those are?
I know rims usually have one heck of a markup (esp if you can get them for $40-50 each).

Get the bling ones. I don't think they'll look so bling on the truck. For a similar look, these are my old wheels. Not the same and steel to boot but they give you a general idea.
