My 4-runner stalled!! What do i do!!

So i was on my way home the other dayand i was driving up a very hilly road. The car started to slow drastically even though the pedal was pressed down and the car was full of gas. Than it just stalled out on me. It wouldnt start for about 5 mins after that. So i was told by a local garage that i needed a new fuel pump and filter. Does that sound right? Let me know. Thanks

I agree, start with the simple stuff like plugs, fuel filter, air filter, clean the throttle body and do a Seafoam treatment. If the issue returns then at least you have the basics covered and can start doing some more techincal diagnostics from there.
