I was wondering if you need to worry about over compression with stock suspension. I have all stock rear suspension except I added OME N86 Shocks in the rear, which are longer travel than the stock shocks. I was wondering if I took the truck out and bounced around the forest trails that I would be in danger of over compressing these shocks since I haven't lifted the truck any. I have a 98 SR5 4x4. I did a search and found a thread for lifted 1st-2nd gens but not much on the 3rd gens at stock height.

you have no worries, I've probably beaten the N86 shocks harder than anyone else....... You can compress them all the way to the bumpstops.....

Cool, when I searched I came across your thread about your rear suspension buildup with the 12" travel bilsteins'. Truck looks great Bruce.

Ditto on what Bruce said, you'll be fine offroad with those shocks.

Yeah I picked up my set used with at least 50k miles on them then I put another 20k on them and they are still fine.
