hey guys is there a shock that can lift my 2002 extra cab taco truck just a little without using spacers or anything else?? just curious. i want to run 265/75/16's but with my factory set up it will rub in the front. i run 245/75/16's now... i just need a half inch to an inch at most.. thanks guys

I don't think you really want to use shocks to lift the front end because that means you're going to be giving up alot in the area of ride quality. The bilsteins might lift it a bit, but you'd be much better off using spacers or 99 4WD 4runner coils to lift your Taco up front.

yeah you are right mtl. i thought about that after i had posted. how much are the spacers? i am sure they are cheaper than springs..

I think Jason B or Toytec might be your best bet for those.
Not sure on costs either.

Check this out. This is what I run, and other than the inherent drawbacks to any type of spacer lift, I'm happy with it...

I'd just use a topout spacer or new springs to lift your front end up an inch or so.

My brother has 265/75/16's on his '01 Tacoma (X-cab) with stock suspension and has no rubbing issues. He's had that size on two different stock '01 Tacos...so have hundreds of other Tacoma owners.

In another words, you don't need a lift.

edit: found some pics of his first '01 that got totaled...

the 265/75/16's rub when you have the mud flaps on. they rub the screw that holds them in on the inside of the wheel hub. thats what i was told.. i may just give it a shot and worse comes to worse just take the front flaps off.. i dont really want to but what the hell, if i dont like it i can always go back down in size

they rub the screw that holds them in on the inside of the wheel hub.

Your right but those screws (hex bolts) can be replaced with a "rounded" screw/bolts that should keep the wheel from making too much contact.
Something like these...
