On Friday morning I had a slight accident at work. I was stepping from a workstand onto the aircraft I was working on when I slipped. My left hand grabbed what was closest to it and this was the result. 5 stiches and light duty for 2 weeks.

Luckily no tendons or bones were hit so no permanent damage.

Whom ever stitched that needs to go back to school, thats the worst job I ever seen. Hell, I cut myself open plenty of times and done it myself better.

Be carefull of infection!

I work for the federal government on CH-53E's. I was stiched up at the military hospital by, are you ready, a doctor who looked to be 85 to 90 years old. Thats right. I thought he was a volunteer be he was the doctor.
Bob, the part that I grabbed was called a backbone. It is a square metal tube that runs along the top on the motor. There are ears on the backbone in which a long pin slides in. I ripped it on the last ear. No pain killers but I did get antibiotics. Doesn't really hurt unless I put pressure on it. I will probably be on light duty for 2 weeks at least.

Well perforated Paul, that's surely a number there. Guess you should be glad he managed to run the stitches into both sides, 'stead of just one? Hope it heals quickly and well for you. Katie's got the kisses covered so here's a hug and not a handshake. :D
