Now that I got your attention :tongueout:

I have a 97 4Runner auto that i bought used. I dont know all the history on it but here is my question:
It has a very stiff gas pedal and there is also about 2" of freeplay in the pedal. Does anyone know if this can be adjusted (stiffness and/or freeplay)? i guess i could just get used to it, but it is kind of annoying. There is also a little freeplay on the throttle cable under the hood, can this have anything to do with the stiffness?

Thanks

The throttle cable may be damaged or stretched or both.
Try moving the throttle on the engine by hand and see if it moves freely.

Also toyota truck pedals tend to be stiffer than normal cars so if this is your first one you might not be used to it. But that 2" of freeplay doesn't sound right.
