I just bought a new Samsung 22" Widescreen monitor Syncmaster for my home pc.

Works awesome! Do I need to adjust my refresh rate in my "display settings"?

Its taking some getting used to.....

I wish the hot UPS chick dropped it off, she didnt, it was a big, fat guy....

in settings, check to make sure the refresh rate is the same as the spec of the monitor (see your manual.) and also set it to its native resolution, the quality difference is amazing.

i dont know your skill level, so this guy explains it pretty well: http://sstern.ccim.com/2005/08/16/setting-up-an-lcd-monitor-on-windows-xp/

good choice, i bought a 22" acer (was 200 bucks, couldnt pass it up). its pretty nice, but not as nice as that samsung. i dont regret it for the price, i just wish the others were a bit cheaper.

Very nice, Samsung makes excellent monitors.

I've got a Dell 24" widescreen at work, and LOOOOOOOOVVVVVVE it. I'm going to have to get myself one for home, actually I'll probably go with the new 27" they came out with since it's getting awesome reviews

I have playing around with the settings. I adjust the resloution to 1680 x 1050 as what it says in the "destructions". Then it gets really fuzzy. Currently I have it at 1280 x 768 and it looks great.

Well, if your monitor is a Samsung 225BW 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor, the native resolution is 1680x1050. So if it doesn't look right at that resolution you might have a setting messed up somewhere else... In theory an LCD looks best at its native resolution.

Do you have the latest drivers installed for both the video card and the monitor? I would check those, and then make sure refresh rate, resolution, and any other settings seem to be correct according to the manual.

Also, make sure your video card supports the resolution of the monitor...
