I agree that sucks, but they are right about the strength of the waste water. Brewery waste is 100 fold stronger than anything out of a house. With that money, the brewery should build their own treatment plant. Hell, 1-2 years and they'd have it paid off.

I agree, I would think they could find a pre-treatment solution that would lower thier BOD so they could still send it to the local treatment plant. Sounds like they need to go to the city and raise some Holy Hell about the fact they haven't kept up with the capital improvements on thier system. What were they going to do, let sewage run down the streets before they spent the money to upgrade? Too many people were asleep at that wheel to not have some heads roll.

this is typical of city state and county governments take the tax money and squander it now then complain that they can't do the job we already paid them for.... dont you guys ever see those bond measures that come out every three to five years... they are supposed to help the environment and fully fund schools and highways....yada yada BS... like the happy dolphins and safe children act of, you fill in the year....all BS all those bonds do are pay off the last ones.... screw escondido i'd sue the sh*t out of them.... they approved the business and building permits they knew what stone was up to and they aprroved it to get the tax revenue and now they're like oops we need more.... wake up people this is what the mafia does
