I haven't gotten around to getting the Toyota bed mat for my wife's '07 Taco and I really needed something back there for our dog. He has three legs, so getting around on the slick composite bed with all the ribs is hard for him to do. Not to mention, it is uncomfortable as hell to crawl in there for stuff on those ribs. Up till now I had a board back there to help him out, but that was heavy and I needed to get something more comfy back there for our trip to June Lake. I found these foam interlocking mats at Costco for under $12.

Super easy to cut and piece together and came with plenty of edge trim.

Don't get me wrong, this is no where near the quality of the Toyota mat that I will eventually get, but that is $$ that I don't have right now. This at least makes it much more comfortable back there as Jack is demonstrating.

I still had two full pieces (8 sq. ft.) and many end trim pieces left over. I am going to test some different glues on some scrap pieces and I may pull it out and glue the pieces together. Since this is mainly the grocery getter and not a work truck that is hauling stuff all the time, I think it will hold up for awhile till I get the good mat.
P.S. It is really lite, so I don't think it would work well in an uncovered bed.
