Question for Tacoma owners that have a Optima:

Which one do I get? The 34 or the 34R? I am kinda stuck....... All you Taco owners that have an Optima Red Top please chime in.... Thanks....

the 34r i believe is the one you want, as the terminals are reversed, putting the positive to the upper left hand corner (when looking down) as opposed to the 34 which has the positive on the upper right hand corner, forcing you to find longer wires.

one of these days i will be able to afford one.. haha

IMO you should get a Yellow Top.. they handle dis-chargering way better then the Red Top.

Basically Blue Tops are marine, red tops have loads of cranking amps for trucks, and yellow is serious deep cycle for running a lot of aux devices, such as car stereos. But also will run lights and winches well....

Marine terminals, eh? Those are much better than the OEM ones that for some reason are split into two rings.

I could swear I already posted in this thread before though. :headscratch:

I used to run a yellow top, but it died after 2 years, since they only have a 1 year warranty I switched to the red top. That's when I also went with a dual battery set-up. Mainly because you won't get any warning when the battery is about to die. Also the red top has a 3 year warranty.

note the type of battery terminal I used.....
