So I was walking to the kitchen last night to get a glass of iced tea and instead of my knee going forward as it bent to walk it went backwards!!!!!!! SO needless to say Jeremy(callmeJ)had to take me to the ER and i have a knee immobilizer i have to wear for the next month along with a super special set of crutches that i am stuck with for the next 4 weeks at least :( ::im trying to get J to PC them for me:: :hillbill:
Not sure yet if they will come apart for him to do them. So anyway, i just wanted to warn you all of the dangers of Iced tea.

Jeremy- You dork! I might be mad about that comment if you havent been so sweet and helpful to me  so......instead of getting mad i will say haha to your little #2 joke. :spit:
Fuster- Yeah.....especially the sporking from behind LOL .....(for those of you that dont get that, see callmej's sig line)
Wfiesaysimadumbass- Thats what i needed after i did it! But they gave me percocet so im not sure that its a good idea with that:chill:..lol
Anthony- Thanks alot man, so far its not the most fun i have ever had. :shake:
Hab- Seems like the Crutches are held together with rivets so we cant get the plastic pieces off to pc them :( so blah blah crutches are all i have :gay:.....sigh
Avy- Stay away from the iced tea! the only time i drank it today i made sure i was sitting down and someone brought it to me! LOL
Bruce- arent ya glad i made that connection for ya! Now you just have to decide if the delicious iced tea is worth the pain, I love my tea so its pretty likely that i will keep the crutches and knee immoblilizer on hand after it heals this time :hillbill:
Lance- Im not really sure where to go from there...LOL !!! :screwy:

Can't you drill out the rivits - PC - and then re-rivit them?
Or is that just too much of a bother?

Jimbo and breknraj its just too much hassle really and we dont have a rivet gun....we thought about some screws but we dont want to mess them up since i HAVE to use them, but once i can walk without them then i told him he has to PC them incase they ever have to get used again.

Stand and wipe....if she would have bent over while on the terlet then she would have bumped her head on the tub!

 My bro has a bathroom like that. Your knees hit the tub while you are doing your business (unless you have a "wide stance" like Senator Craig).

ok...enough toilet talk there honey...... :spank:
so i went to the orthopedist today and he thinks i tore some cartilage. I have to get an MRI done and depending on what the results are i may have to have surgery :yikes:. if they cant see what it is on the MRI then i will have the let them snoop around in there with a scope. :(
IF they find a big tear they will have to sew it back together and i will be stuck on the crutches another 4-6 weeks and do some rehab to get it fully functional again...... :chair:
If its a small tear they may be able to just trim away where the tear is an i will be back on my feet in no time.....i am keeping my fingers crossed that its this one!
So i just wanted to update everyone on this.......STAY AWAY FROM THE ICED TEA!!!!!!

She is at work jim...but I can speak some for her. She went to the Dr. yesterday for an MRI and Monday she goes to her regular Dr. to discuss it...but she is still in pain and the knee is still swelling here and there. Just gotta wait til all testing comes back...may need surgery.
Texas Jim

I really hope she doesn't need the surgery!! Let her know her friends are here for her!! She should probably be trying to stay off from it to keep swelling down. J you are suppose to be taking care of her..... And keep her off the tea!!! Hang in there Katie!!! TJ

She said THANKS TJ! I'm trying to get her to hit the crack pipe now to keep her from hurting bad but she likes the heroin instead. So she has progressed from tea to heroin...bad bad Katy!

Katy, don't worry too much if you do have to have surgery. It's not that bad. I had a knee reconstruction 6 years ago. I tore my ACL and shredded my lateral meniscus. The recovery wasn't bad at all... I was up and putting weight on it within the week. I still had to use crutches but I got good at using only one so I could still open my own doors while I was out and about! :) Hang in there and keep us posted!

Hey everyone!! Sorry i have been away for so long...the meds they had me on for the pain gave me a really bad time when they took me off them so i havent been feeling too well....i still have some pain when i walk too much and i cant kneel down on it, but no surgery!!!! Doc wants me to do physical therapy but its just not in the budget so i am just working it little by little on my own. Thanks again to everyone for all of your support and keep your fingers crossed that it doesnt happen again any time soon. Doc says there is a chance that it could happen again because of the way it happened and now its weaker.....so yes, im staying away from iced tea for a while, been about 2-3 weeks since i had a glass....mmmmm...iced tea...:drool::drool:
