Cleaning a car cd player?

In my '93 4runner with cd player/tape player, the cd player started playing at a way lower volume than the radio. This just recently happened within the last few months. Before the volume was consistent when switching between the radio and cd player.

Any suggestions on which cleaner to use, etc... I was thinking one of those cds that clean it. :headscratch: I'm kind of lost when it comes to this.
Basically, I don't want to go get a cleaner and have it be some crappy one that doesn't work.

I bought one of those cd's with the little brushes on it. My cd player had started skipping really bad, and just plain going squirrely everytime I went off road. The cleaner seems to have pretty much solved the problem. I ran it through 5 or 6 times.
