View Full Version : Kicking myself - the FJ62 Front Axle that got away!!

So I was at the local pick-n-pull getting parts for what else - the Jeep...

So I started asking about the Toyotas they had - 4 4Runners and a truck. As I was walking out, I asked if they had any Land Cruisers. He says "we had a big 4 door one - an '88 I think. We crushed it about 3 hours ago"

I almost died!!!

For those that don't know, I've settled on an FJ60/62 axle for when I do my SAC. Could have had one!!! Dammit!!!!

Don't they usually rip the good axles and other parts off before crushing? Seems like they would still have the axles around.

They don't - I asked. Apparently this thing had been there for a long time. He only wanted $150 for the axle too...
