Hello all,
This quarter I'm making an offroad awareness video and wanted to pick your brain about what you would want to see in such a video. My goal is not to make a safety video but to compile all the plusses that go along with wheeling. To show people that might not see the point of it and want to close our parks or maybe to turn people that might not know about it and its following.

Topics:
Land use responsibility- Want to show that not everyone out there is there to bury the throttle and toss dirt/mud around. How clubs host clean up days etc..

Adventure- I think a lot of people don't have a good sense of how nice getting out into the great out doors really is.

Camaraderie- The friends you make while wheeling can last a lifetime. There is something about placing yourself in situations that require everyone to come together as a group to move forward that brings the off-road community together in ways other hobbies don't.

Clubs- There are clubs all over the country that are open and free for anyone to join. I also want to express the value and importance of having experienced people around you when you hit the trails for the first time.

Safety- I want to touch on this, but it will not be an instructional video on how to wheel safely, more of wanting to show that when done right, it is quite a safe hobby.

Sport- Depending on scheduling I want to include some of the WERock series but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to pull it off. Maybe something I can add later...

Will this one ever get seen, or will it get buried like the YotaTech Tour Video that never happened?

I think this is a great project Austin. might have way more uses than school, there are LOTS of videos showing the stupid crap some a-holes pull on the trails, lets get a video that points to the positives!!!

Its more of a continuation... The school wont let me do any shots on vehicles for insurance reasons, so I'm using that footage for this project. Plus, I wanted to have a bit more meaning than some trucks going off road...

Well, considering I can't graduate until this is done... I sure hope it does!! ;) As for scheduling this quarter is for shooting and the next is for post, so hopefully by spring break but if I need an extra quarter to shoot then by summer.

how about going places very very few people are ever allowed to visit? its a way to explore those less than normal places, like driving on backroads, walking over the mountain instead of walking around it. stuff like that. also, another way to get back to nature,

maybe show how people should behave offroad, not digging holes and ruts, staying on the trail, cleaning up trash, that sort of stuff. such as a guy going down the trail, stopping, getting out and picking up a bottle, putting it in a bag in the back, and returning to his jorney.

Glen Yoshida I pick as the candidate for that video, he is one stand up guy.

i agree with Sean on the backroads and expedition stuff, not many ppl really understand that aspect, most ppl think of offroading as finding a construction site and digging ruts/mudding.

im doing an expedition in thanksgiving in utah and one in springbreak somewhere else.

In the camaraderie venue....If you need a vid clip of a late middle aged tub-a-lard displaying his pale moon rising, let me know. If'n I bend over right we can get the runner in the back ground just to keep it on topic

I would also think the time spent exploring nature. The tranquility of beauty that can only be found by off roading!! Seeing nature as it was meant to be seen. Along with respecting nature for what it is... TJ

Ive got a few pics of others, that could be titled "What NOT To Do" :D but we all got some great shots of responsable wheeling.
So what and how could we help ? are you wanting pics of things like trail clean ups ? everyone pulling togeter to get a broke down rig back home ?

That would be great, I have plenty of pics of wheeling but if you have some of trail clean-ups/fix-ups that would be great. I have a few good interviews in the can, I'm trying to meet up with some TreadLightly instructors and I should be ready for editing.
