We wanted to take FlyingBaby out for her first camping experience, so this past weekend, out we went. We went with out friends who also have a 3 month old baby girl. We head up to the Mogollon Rim, for some calmer forest roads.

It was a lot of fun!

Thanks guys. It was rough planning clam trails suitable for the baby's! It was a whole new experience looking at the topo's and trying to figure out what roads would minimally require 4wd.

At least we got her out there! Hope to teach her all kinds of outdoors stuff as she grows up. She was very calm and enjoyed it.

BTW... the tailgate makes an excellent changing station!

Makin' memories with you kids outdoors...nothing is better  Enjoy these times because they go by so quickly. Gotta go and give my son a big bear hug...

Thanks for sharing,

BWJ

That's why I love my 2nd gen 4runner!

How did the tent work out with the litte one? We had Jack sleeping in his pack n play (big tent :D) when we camped with him at that age. Just wondering because we have a little one on the way and we're thinking of an eazi-awn down the road.

The Eezi-Awn worked out great! We brought the SIDS reducer and just put her in between the two of us. We put her just above head level so incase one of rolled over we would n ot roll over ontop of her. The couple we were with had an Eezi-Awn 1200 and they did a similar thing. Thier Eezi-Awn is mounted on the bed rails, so the would pass the baby in and out of the "rear" of the tent.

Thanks that is Henry, Sierra Expeditions traveling gnome. So far he has more miles than FlyingBaby, but FlyingBaby is catching up. She is 17 weeks old and already has flown on 12 flights. 4 more coming up in mid October!
