Man, this is seriously the best combo ever. Since they can't put cocaine in coke anymore, I think they should add a bit of the ol' captain. Delicious.

Good call. I actually drink Vodka and coke, which I think must be a very odd drink, since I am the only one in the known world who drinks it, bartenders remember me by this drink. lol. and I always get a wierd look with a new bartender when I order it...

Hmm, perhaps it is just that coke goes so well with everything...Interesting. Next question: How about off brands? Personally, I must have Coca-Cola, no generic. But, a friend of mine, also an admirer of this combo, thinks that offbrand is just fine, and easier on the pocketbook.

Rum & Coke has been around a long time. Now is Capt's Morgan a spiced rum? that would make a whole different drink. One that I like is called a "Creme Soda," (which I am sure a lot of you have never tasted, taste a little like vanilla.) A creme Soda is made with a dark spiced rum and 7-up. Very tasty and no harsh booze taste.... TJ

Capt. n Coke got me through my last two years in the Marines.
Don't drink it very often now. Mainly stick with beer.

Must be Coke! I actually do not like Coke as a soda by itself, I prefer Pepsi, but with mixed drinks, I have tried many different combos and it must be with Coke.

coke is not as sweet, thats why its better in mixed drinks.

Captain and Dr. Pepper. We call it Dr. Feelgood.
As queer as this sounds, I drink Absolute Pear and Sprite. The waitresses at the pub I usually go to know to call it Gin and Tonic so as to not blow my cover.
I can't really drink Coke, hard on my guts.

Crown and coke is far superior to capt and coke.
I started with captain and coke, moved on to Soco black label and coke, moved from there to Jack and Coke, and lately have been really happy with crown and coke.
I actually am unimpressed with captain, if I am going to have a rum and coke, it would be Myers Dark and coke with a lime.

Prairie Fire is what I end the night with when drinking with my good homies.
Alternatively, I dig the Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses paradigm.
Last week I was sipping Macallam 18. It is nice to have friends with good jobs.

I always thought a Prairie Fire was Tequila and Tobasco.

I hear you on the better stuff.
However, Hard to go wrong at 20 bucks a handle for the ol capt.
I hardly ever drink hard liquor at the bar, just stick to beer, as its cheaper.

lol... another good one that i thought i'd pass along.
if the bitterness of margaritas keeps you from drinking them, try a splash of OJ in one and you'll be amazed at how much better it is. of course, that only works w/ a good tequila (no montezuma!) and some good orange liquor (drambuie or gran marinier)
