View Full Version : 3rd Gen Front Coil install ??

When I removed my front coils to put new ones (tundra) on I didn't pay attention to how the coil faced.....on the top it doesn't matter but on the bottom the coil end could face out (towards the tire) or in (towards the frame). The shock/strut DOES NOT fit in symetrically. Based on whether the coil end faces in/out the coils is closer or further away from the frame. Could someone with a 3rd generation 4x4 take a look for me or post a pic.

No those are Old Man Emu's.
The orientation of the shock vs the spring shouldn't matter as long as it is fully seated.
yes, the bottom plate is shaped such that you should know exactly where to seat the coil.
