So the new Tacos have the option on the 4rd models for the short or long bed (which is the same length as the reg and extended cab models) is this the first year this is offered or has it been an option before and i just missed it??

YOu lose your option if you go to TRD as they are only available in the short bed.

its been offered since the 2005 model. and you can still get a long bed model with TRD....but it has to be the TRD Sport. Only the TRD Off-Road is limited to the short bed. Also this year there is the new TRD Off-Road Rugged Trail package.

The long bed dcab only comes in auto transmission as well. Only the short bed can be a manual
