yes but I'm debating whether or not to upgrade my old powerbook and step into the intel chip world... hard decision... and an expensive one too... :headscratch:

I'm waiting a couple of months. Tigers been running fine for me and the upgrades aren't worth screwing something up. Also, they've had a lot of problems getting it out. That's why it took so long. If you get it, let us know how it is.

Planning to let it go for a month or so, see how it's working for people before getting it for my wife's macbook.

Running it on the new 24" imac-
I see no reason to wait if your going to upgrade anyway. Its not like its a windows upgrade. I did also upgrade it from tiger. Also a friend of mine upgraded his G4 laptop and just like tiger did for my old 533 G4, It gave it a small speed bump up. I couldn't notice anything like that on the imac. but wasnt expecting it.

Cover flow and quicklook are great, and even better with a large screen. also boot camp is out of beta with new drivers on the 10.5 install DVD. no need to burn a CD anymore. I havent used spaces all to much. but i heard its nice on laptops. Networking has been improved along with some tcp/ip improvements to help with better data transfer. Some other stuff too, more then you can find trying to play around at the store.

As soon as the Pro Apps are cleared to run I'll still wait a couple months. Looks kinda cool though

We are running it on the 6 24" imacs my office just got. I haven't had a chance to play with them too much, but definitely looks really nice. :D

EDIT: I just looked again, and looks like 2 of our imacs are still running the older system. So, it's just the other 4 on the new OS.

Mac OS X 10.5.1 is in final testing and is apparently getting some good comments on the update for the new OS. If you haven't done the upgrade, you'll want to wait for this update.

Rest of ya guys still stuck on the old Tiger OS, a new update got released today (Mac OS X 10.4.11).

I dont see why you would wait for an update that is just going to be downloaded for free. I guess maybe if you were on dial up. Other then that if you want to upgrade current version works great on mine.
