Hello all,
I guess I actually started off my UltimateYota forum career with a suspension question in an earlier post. Mr. Good Times was very informative and helpful.
Anyhow, my name is Dave. I live in Eagle River, Alaska. I've had my '04 4Runner Limited for 3 years now. Before my Runner, I was an avid VW fan (hence my handle). I still am to some extent, however, my last VW was a 2002 New Beetle and, let's just say, quality control was non existent. :(
My father has always owned a Toyota for as long as I can remember. He currently drives a silver 2000 Tundra TRD. He was so zealous about Toyota quality that the 5th time my bug left me stranded, I decided to give him the benifit of the doubt and trade it in on my 4Runner. I will never look back! I gues there's something to the old saying, "Like father, like son" after all. :P
So, after 3 years of blissful ownership, it's time to do a few mods. I'm going to be doing a 2 1/2" lift on it very soon. I also am going to be putting a black powder coated Westin bull bar with PIAA 520s on it. That sould tie me over for another 3 years! :D Here's a recent photo with my new tires:
