Eric and I had the day off, so we made our way to Escondido to check out the trails up there. I had been there last about 3 years ago....the trails have changed and the trash more expensive. This area always has cars that have been abused and left for dead.

I actually took a lot of pics, I will post my favorites. There are plenty of hill climbs, deep ruts, and rocks!!

Man I'm jealous. I have always wondered about the trails out there. How does one access them? Honestly those are way to hard for my truck at this point but some day it would be fun to explore some trails closer to home.

That is messed up. LOL

You know we got out there and took just a few minute to do some of these cheeseball poser pics and I actually said to Marc that "like an idiot I forgot the good camera" The camera I usually use is a 1996 Olympus 1.3 Megapixel POS. We have a SLR 9.0mp Canon that I should have brought.

Funny that you mentioned that to him.

The digital camera on my new cell phone is 2.0mp with a 4x zoom which would be better than these. Haha

I am really happy with my lift, wheel & tire combo until I see pics of your 4Runner online...
[now contemplating a 1" BL & 33s on LC alloys] :headscratch:

Nice pics!

You know just recently I have become pretty content witht he way the rig has tuned out. There is always something more to do which is the fun of the whole thing but nothing is a must have anymore.

One thing I would like to add is a winch. Just would be nice to have the added capability if I ever needed it.

One of these days we will run into each other on a run. What area are you from in CA? I will be moving up to Ventura county within 6 months.

Seems we have missed each other several times...Death Valley last year and more recently, Pismo.

I'm in Sacramento, but am never opposed to driving somewhere to run new trails.

The biggest thing on my wishlist is a dual transfer case. They're expensive and would likely cut pretty heavily into my fuel economy, but I want one. Santa, are you listening? :D

One of the piles of trash we came across had a bunch of Yota parts....old coilovers, bedliner, injectors, fuel rails, and an almost complete stock airbox and intake tubes for a 3.slow...I grabbed that.
