If you have a v8 then you already have a tranny cooler. For v6 owners, follow thr same installation procedure as the 3rd gen models. Hayes is the most common install that everyone likes to use. I've upgraded my stock v8 tranny cooler w a Hayes but can't comment on its performance cuz I haven't finished rebuilding my truck.

Good luck

If you have a V6 here's some pics of what I did :D I have been stranded a few times by poorly installed aftermarket coolers. It's worth it to get a good cooler, put forth effort to avoid abrasion, use good clamps and the proper line type.

EDIT: Again, a bit of lens refraction. There's plenty of distance between the cooler and the A/C line.
