OK guy's and lady's just thought that I would share a few picture's of the front bumper that I have been busy designing and building. If you see something that is missing feel free to say something before I finish it could just include it before finishing it.

I should also say that I have some D-Rings to weld on to the front for recovery point's I will also be adding my existing prerunner light bar to it so that is why I have not cut any holes for extra lights.

It will be a bit on the overkill side because I used 1/4" steel to make it but it should outlast anything on the market today. The last thing I will be doing is once I have it all together and am happy with how it looks it will be going for a case of LINE X to protect it even more.

This is the cardboard mock up I made to work with and build from and as you can see I made a few changes along the way. I was thinking about putting the control box for my winch on top then had a friend suggest finding a way to hide it so http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x275/fifty5panhead/PICT0010-1.jpg
Here is the answer I came up with notice the shelf inside the right side fit to the control box

Here is what it looks like from the front the hole to the left is for the hand control when needing to use it http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x275/fifty5panhead/PICT00012.jpg

The next few pictures are of the end caps I made and I will tell you bending these was no picnic but worth it in the end. http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x275/fifty5panhead/PICT00092.jpg

Here is a picture of what it looks like from the top left to right TFFT TOYOTA FOREVER FOREVER TOYOTA http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x275/fifty5panhead/PICT00112.jpg
And here is where I am at now just for a visual so I and everyone can get an idea of what it should look like before adding the prerunner bar if you look to the right of the left light you can see the hand control plug in in place http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x275/fifty5panhead/PICT00142.jpg

Since I looked at this last picture a few times I noticed as I am sure you all have that the right side end is uneven and I have done some fill in welding to correct that and even out all the unevenness in the bottom of the bumper. I will be back at finishing up this wednesday night since I work till 10:30 pm Mon-Fri its been a late night/early morning project so that's why it is going so slow. I will take more pic's and post them Thursday so you all can see the progress. :bling:

Well here are some more pic's of the change's that I made to the bumper for some reason I did not factor ion the core support or ac component's to the design so I had to make the change's to get it to fit. I still have a few things i need to do to it before I am finished with it but that will be fairly easy to deal with i hope. So for now this is where I am at and will post up some more pics in the next couple days to show the other change's I made to it as they get done.

Haha! I was just posting about my intent to build a custom bumper on my build-up thread. Looks like you beat me to it :D

Looks nice. I was thinking about integrating a winch tray into mine so that I could move it to a different location if need be....
