I thought my roll was feeling a little soft when turning right...
Guess I need to push those disco's higher on the priority list, and maybe some poly bushings too :hillbill:

That first picture is unacceptable as a Toyota owner. Keep track of what's going
on with your rig brother! One of the my first mods was a new Swaybar and end-link
bushing kit from Energy. Money well spent. Taking the end-links off for trail
rides is actually pretty freakin' easy. Save your money on the discos and put it
towards a set of Staun Tyre Deflators.

That does look pretty bad. :D
You can get discos if you want or just a beefier set of end links for the front.
We make both.

Yeah, the stock rubbers are crap. I swapped mine out for a set of polyurethane bushings from Wheelers Offroad as soon as i got my truck. 25 bucks well spent.

I don't need a lecture :shake: The broken end link is a recent occurrence, and I knew it happened. As for the bushings, well, so what?!
...and I already have Staun Deflators :flipoff:

My driver side went not to long ago. You dont know its gone till you feel the roll and check it out. Mine was same side as well. Check the other side it may be bent(like mine was)as well.

Yeah I've seen posts now and then from other people where the same thing happened. The other side seems ok, but I've just taken the whole thing off for now since it isn't doing anything for me anyway. For now, I'm trying to decide whether I want to get disco's from Wabbit, or adapt the "sliding design" I used on my '92 4Runner.
If this sort of fatigue failure is so common on these particular swaybars, why hasn't Toyota done a recall on them? Basterds :gay:
because they lasted almost 10 years and (im sure) well over 100K on your truck

I have a stock front sway bar I'll sell. Used, but in good shape. Took it off when I installed the Total Chaos lt kit. Let me know.

I don't need a lecture. I need to chill out and realize that freejake3 is just a Toyota fanatic and generally cares about others. The broken end link is a recent occurrence, and I knew it was my driving style that caused it. As for the bushings, well, so what?! I guess I can live with the fact that I rarely check my biz after mall wheeling.
...and I already have Staun Deflators. They're awesome huh. Maybe I'll take your advice and spend my $$ elsewhere.
No worries. Just a concerned Toy freak trying to help. Glad I don't wheel with
a know-it-all like yourself. But then again - arrogance attracts arrogance.
I'm out.

Yeah, that's where I may be headed... When the LT kit goes on the swaybar will have to come off anyway; but I have heard rumors of possibly over-drooping the suspension and damaging CV's without a swaybar. Perhaps this is only with the Tundra lift?

i had discos for a while, now i'm back to the regular endlinks. i like the swaybar for the road, and it doesn't make much significant difference offroad.

really?! i found when i pulled my swaybar i gain a bunch of flex offroad... that is job of the swaybar.... reduce flex, onraod that translate into less body roll, offroad that means less flex.. lol

As a general rule, removing/disconnecting the sway bar makes a big difference in articulation. The discos on my '92 enable a night and day difference both in body roll and front end flex. The rear sway bar discos don't do much for me though...

well i'll say this - i haven't been held back really from going anywhere with the swaybar connected

I took the shocks and springs off of my truck completely, and I have incredible travel now.
:hillbill:
Oh yeah, took my swaybar off last year. The only time I wish I had it is doing 80 on the interstate...

Kinda looks like mine honestly. Minus the broken end link. My bushings are murdered.
