What's stupid about that is that hybrids do WORSE on the highway than in the city. If ANYONE should be in stop and go traffic, it should be hybrids.

I've discussed this at length at work, and we've agreed, it is a retarded rule.

If Hybrids get carpool status, so should EVERY vehicle (most hondas, acuras, even some subis) that gets better than 35 mpg. Thats about all the stupid hybrids get on the highway.

I didn't get those stickers with my Prius. Not sure why. Didn't really matter because we don't travel on the highways with these carpool lanes that often.

I got flipped off by a hybrid driver last week in my 4Runner. So funny. I nearly got ran off the road by an A$$ in a huge F450 in the Prius the very next day.

my hybrid averages 42MPG on the highway and about 49 city. Huge diff? Not really but you will see it in your wallet over time.

reguardless it is a ploy to get people to buy more efficient cars. Those stickers are no longer being given out anyway.

my Honda civic hybrid has that sticker. they only gave them out from 06 to early 07 and you had to apply for the sticker.

I know this is all in fun but I still think it is petty to have these little them against us wars.

Drive what you want and can afford and its all good. Hybrid owners who think they are better than others because they drive a more efficient car are dorks. Likewise people who think that the vehicle they drive (sprots car/4x4...) represent their personal masculinity are... well dork to. LOL
