Maintance Question

What maintance should be done at 174,xxx miles(gas mileage has sucked as of late, need to check tire pressure)?

Depends on what has been done lately. Typically, when you do a tune up, its a good idea to do plugs, wires (3-4 depending on engine) tire pressure, ALL fluids including coolant, belts, and hoses.

At the very least check all those things, and replace as necessary.

if you have ever overheated your motor then get a compression test done also..

new plugs
new wires
new pcv valve
clean maf
clean intake manifold
clean idle
inspect other very carefully like boots and etc
