OHV personalized plates in CA

OHV License Plates

Dear OHV Friend,

Most people have no idea that 4.5 million Californians
enjoy off-roading, or that it’s an 11 billion dollar industry. However,
if we all displayed a specialized OHV license plate, everyone
would see how widespread and important off-roading is to our
state’s economy.

I’m starting a petition drive to authorize a specialized OHV
license plate. California will only produce the plate if it receives an
initial order of 7,500. To guarantee the success of this petition we
need to collect the names and addresses of 10,000 people willing
to buy an OHV plate for their street vehicle.

Please help me collect these signatures by signing the

oops wrong link.... the concept is that the ohv users will be able to make personalized vehicle plates :)

kinda like the current personalized plates that are offered.

No I don't think that is the point at all. I think it is like Lance is saying. The plate will just have a theme of OHV (background) with the normal alpha numeric unless personalized.

lots of people ask if my random plates are personalized because they read 4WLR735. Too bad the 735 doesn't have any significance to me.

This is a great idea, have we heard anything else about this? This could be a precedent setting affair, if CA does it, more states would be likely to follow suit.

I went and looked around his site, both the OHV plates, and his actual Joelforassembly.com site, they are both just mirror links to one another without actually offering any other info, is there anyway to view how many sigs you guys have on the petition? or the status of this, or anything?
