im planning on doing a coil to leaf spring conversion on my 95 4runner and i have a few questions. if theres a million posts about this sorry but i couldnt find anything. first of all im planning on getting the all pro kit but i cant figure out if i want the 4" or 5" springs. right now it has a pro comp 4" and im running 33 13.50s. eventually i plan on a sas and running 35 14.50s. so my question is if i put 4 or 5" springs in the rear is it going to be alot higher than the front with just the 4" pro comp

Check out Phalanx's thread about his swap. I believe he is running Marlin 5" springs. It is also has good pics of the steps involved.

Check out my build up in the fab area too. I'm running 5" springs in the rear and I had to use longer shackles to raise me high enough to be even with the front. However, I have a pretty heavy rear bumper so that definitely plays a role.

I'd go with the 5" because those kits seem to be designed for lighter pickups and 1st gen 4runners rather than the heavier 2nd gen 4runners.

I would definitely go 5" in the rear if you're planning on running 35's, again you can always adjust with the shackles.

When I got my 4" SAS from Marlin, they recommended I get 5" springs for the rear... but they were out. So I called All-Pro, told them what I knew and they recommended their 6" springs for the rear. Stated their 6" springs were similar to Marlin 5" springs.

Long story short, even with 6" All-Pro springs in the rear the back end of my 4Runner still sat low. I waited for everything to settle with some trail/ road time but still no luck. Even when I added a TJM bumper and winch to the front.

I ended up going with the shortest shackles offered from Marlin for the front and now I am almost even. My goal was never to be high, but to be able to fit 35's which I do now without any rubbing.
