Does anyone have the measurements for where they put their rear hangers when you did a coil to leaf conversion

I'll go out and take some measurements, but each truck differers. Did you want to set the axle back at all?

im planning on going 35's but that will be after i sas it and in my sig i meant it has a 4 inch pro comp right now and i am planning on sasing it soon i didnt even know pro comp made a sas kit and i ordered the rear kit with 5 in springs today from trail gear and i am also planning on getting their sas kit also but that wont be for a while and ya it has has 33's right now and i know that the sas kit comes with templates for the hangers but i just wanted some sort of a measurement for where everyone has been putting their rear hangers so that i have a place to start at. thanks

Another thing that I need an opinion about is should I do the rear as soon as I get the kit or should I just wait untill I SAS it and do it all at the same time. My only concern with doing it now opposed to waiting is I dont want the ass end to be way higher than the front and like I said above I ordered the trail gear 5" rear kit. So what do you think??

Here are some pics for reference. I was in a hurry at the time. I hope this helps.

oh ya I forgot to mention that I got my everything in my rear kit besides the leafs because they were backordered. Everything looks like high quality stuff but they gave me non greaseable shackle and spring hanger bolts. Im pretty sure trail gears kit is supposed to come with greaseable bolts so wtf?

Go with the measurements they'll give you with the kit, looking at Phalanx's, they pretty much match what the guys over at Toy Connection did with the rig they recently finished.

Online instruction link: http://www.trail-gear.com/pdf/classicrear-instructions.pdf

Oh, yeah, wait and do the whole thing at once, unless you wanna try running 35's in front and 33's in the rear to fix the jack effect. :D

If nothing else, all at once equates to all issues at once, done and over with at once, know what I mean? :D

Also, pay attention (!!!) to this part of the instructions:

For 1989-1995 Pickups only. The 1989-1995 Pickups used longer spring than the earlier trucks. Follow the
spring hanger mounting instructions above but change the dimensions from 6" to 5" so that the hanger is
mounted 5" forward of the stock mount.

**Thus why Phalanx's are at 5". ;)

how far did you move you move your axle back

Those measurements, combined with the plate location on the springs IIRC move it all back I think about 2-3".

Phalanx, what's your wheelbase right now??

Mine's ..(going to measure right now. :D )

Just measured it, at an unmodified 103/104".

the kit came with no instructions and i dont really see how they would help anyways since they are for earlier 4 runners and for trucks which already have leaf springs in the rear. since i have coils i have no spring hanger to measure 5 0r 6" back as it tells you in the directions

Why do you want to move the axle back? With shackles in the rear, the axle will move backwards under full stuff. Every SAS kit out there moves the axle 1.5" or so forward to compensate.

I moved my rear axle about 1.5" forward and it stuffs into the wheel well perfectly on compression. I have All-Pro leaves and would be happy to measure/ take pics of where everything got mounted if that would help.

Let me know.

another thing that i was curious about is how you guys have your lspv hooked up

ok let me clear things up a bit i do not care if i move the axle forwards or backwards i just want to get the best possible fit for the 35" tire so with that said elvota your measurements should be exactly what i want

ok i think ill eventually switch to an adjustable proportioning valve but for a while i think ill just keep the lspv ill just have to extend the already extended bracket that came with the pro comp lift.

Here are some pics of my setup. Measurements are off the centerline of the bolt. The rectangular hole in the frame is the best reference point I could find... even if mine is slightly obscured by the slider gusset.

I have All Pro 6" leaves.

I removed my LSPV when I did my rear disc swap.

I did cut out the crossmember. I got the one from Sky, but it put the shocks at a terrible angle /\

More about shock angles here if you are interested: http://www.4x4review.com/feature/shock-genius.asp

This is my current setup:

http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f15/Elvota/Misc/RearSwap01.jpg

Works a lot better, plus at this point I have cut a majority of the factory coil stuff out. If you look close, you can still see the coil bucket at the frame near the gas tank. That's about all that remains now.
