What makes it a trail team edition? Some paint and badges? Looks great and all, but that's kind of weak on Toyota's part.

EDIT: My bad - nothing says trail like a pair of lights on the bumper. :shake:

My thoughts sort of follow yours here Mike. i mean it looks clean, but i dont see what makes it the trail team edition...

likewise, if it was a TT addition, ARB should be the main sponsor, OME lift, ARB front locker, front bumper and IPF lights, including a ARB roof rack.

all I see thats different is black trd wheels, paint job, lights and maybe interior? just not worth it.

It does look pretty nice :hillbill:...was trying to talk my bro to get one but not this edition.
I'm pretty sure its gonna be at a hefty price for the following:

-exclusive Iceberg White exterior
-black bumpers and side mirrors
-locking rear differential
-praised A-TRAC traction control system
-legendary Bilstein® shock absorbers
-TRD exhaust system
-matte black TRD alloy wheels
-a distinctive TRD shift knob
-Cyclone air cleaner

-Cyclone air cleaner

See?

It is too different.

Back off haters! :flipoff:

Hey all,
I am new here.
Trying to decide between a 4Runner & a FJ for my next ride.

I saw that FJ @ the autoshow last month.
I thought that exterior looked really good (better than the photos). Really liked the wheels.
But the interior looked kinda cheap (esp the color-matched trim).

just my 2bits.
tdk.

Test drive both vehicles and decide which fits you better. Note that may FJC owners complain over the rear pillar that blocks everything so keep this in mind. The suspension for the most part are identical so the capabilities will be great for both vehicles. Drivetrain are virtually identical and both uses the same engine.

The only difference is the rear locking diff available in the FJ but not on the 4runner. Note that you can always get an aftermarket rear locker (ARB) so the playing field gets level again.

Personally I love the 4runner cuz it fits my lifestyle better than the FJ but if someone gave me both I'll take em all :D
