I am around. I haven't been around the forums much and not nearly as much time as I would like on my truck because frankly, I've had to do a lot of other things with the little time I've had back in the states. Moving into a new apartment, girlfriend, and mostly working a career shift in the military has consumed my time.

The only run I made the entire year of '07 was the Superstition run in October because of a 6 month deployment and I would've made DV but you know how that turned out....I HATE THIEVES!

I did make the Baja 1000 with the Precepts Motorsports Racing Team as part of the chase crew for their Class 5 car (#503) Unlimited Buggy that ended up winning the race which was AWESOME. 4 days down in Mexico and I was ready to get back to the states, though.

Here I am, back for only 4 months, and I'm about to head out again but as long as there are no unforseen hangups in my package I should be off the boat in a couple of weeks (fingers crossed). I was hoping I would not be going underway with the ship but the military's gears are very large and turn slowly so this is what I have to wait a little longer.

You wouldn't believe how shocked I was to be browsing the Off Topic forum in god-knows-how-long and find this thread, though.

good to hear man. I just heard from family/friend that the ship you were on had a case of food poisoning (or something to that effect) so I just wanted to check in to make sure you were ok :D

The food is bad but I wouldn't call it "food poisoning"...more like "poorly prepared food that gives you the runs". But the Navy is pushing on people losing weight so I guess it all works out in the end (no pun intended) :D
