Trail Locations - GPS Coordinates database

Has there ever been any thought to creating a trail location database on the forums here? I have a Garmin nuvi350 and you can load custom POI into it.

I was thinking maybe something like posting up the starting locations coordinates so people who are not familiar with the areas can find there way there. (ie where to leave the blacktop)

If this is able to pick up speed, maybe setting up various geographic areas for trails in separate posts will make it easier.

I started my search here http://gpsxchange.com/ and here http://www.gpspassion.com/fr/default.asp?_SetCurrentVersion=EN with the second being where I have found many of my other POI databases. But I haven't come up with anything substantial yet

last i heard, mike (cebby) was working on something i suggested. hell probably chime in here.

basically what my idea is is a wiki for trails, where people can add to the articles, etc.

well see when that gets put up, but im looking forward to it!
