The guy working for me just bought a "new to him" toyota truck over the weekend. So between the possibility of rain and in honor of MLK Day, we took a half day and headed out to Garcia Ridge to test his truck out and I really needed a wheeling fix. I even happened to have my camera with me. :D

ON the way out to Santa Margarita, we had to stop while two wreckers pulled an old semi out of the creek. It was pretty interesting to watch the recovery. Must have been a heck of a ride for the driver! :tapedshut:

Looks like you had fun.

So is the new guy named Guy or did we forget his name?

Thanks again for the southpark link.

^^  His name is actually "Guy" He actually works for my dad at his shop, but they have been slow and I have had a really big job, so he is working for me for awhile.

That southpark link is too fun, I've made the whole family except for the new baby. :D

I recognize that truck. I think from like an old AllPro Jambo at Johnson Valley a whole bunch of years ago.

Looks fun! It's cool to be able to do a short wheeling trip like that.

I believe it was originally built by someone at Marlin Crawler.

Where I have been working, it is really close to the National Forest, so I have been itching to head up there. Last time I was up there was for the Pismo Jamboree, the NF was closed due to fire danger not long after that and then I got too busy to wheel. It was a great diversion to the daily grind. Garcia Ridge is a fun trail, most of the hard stuff is in the first half hour and then there is a little play area, so it is nice if you don't have much time. The whole trail takes quite awhile as it is a "there and back" deal.

Nice pictures. I saw that truck advertised on the Marlin board. Looks like it was indeed a good find! :)
