Tonight while driving my youngest to Scouts, I availed myself of the opportunity to spin some doughnuts in the parking lot. The most Jr. Fuster rolled his eyes at my juvenility, but I won him over after the first one and we continued the activity for many revolutions to his shrieks of glee and uncertainty. On the way home, it occured to me that when I lived in Georgia, my friends called it 'spinning cookies'. In Colorado, they called it 'doin' donies'. There must be other such colloquialisms. So I ask, what do you call the intentional high speed surrender to centrifugal force atop the ice/snow?

"uh....coke, Mt dew, dr pepper, and pepsi"

Donuts here in Ontario Canada... but when I did them in my old car (nissan skyline) it was called drifting lol. Didnt need snow or wet for that car to do it - but i sure went through tires FAST (and gas for some strange reason)

Not in Oklahoma.
When i visited family there once i went in the restaurant and asked for a Coke ( since i lived in GA) and was told they had Cola.
Then proceeded to tell me Coke, Pepsi......

When i lived up in Wisconsin we called it Pop.

Now i just call it Soda.

I wouldn't really call Oklahoma "The South" When I say the south, (and you should know as you lived in GA) we really mean the SouthEast, GA, TN, AL, MS, NC, SC, KY, VA, and WV.
You know better. :)
